A letter from our founder
Parkinson's is not a cause Hearthline chose from a list. It chose us. It's the reason this company exists.
Parkinson's is a progressive condition that, over time, can affect movement, speech, and the small daily abilities most of us never think about — including, for many people, the voice itself. For a company built around capturing a loved one's voice and stories while there's still time, no cause sits closer to the heart of what we do.
My mom, Lynn, has Parkinson's.
That single fact is the seed Hearthline grew from. There came a day when I realized that everything she carries — her stories, her humor, the way she says things only she says, the memories that live nowhere else but inside her — was something I could lose. I didn't want that for my family. And once I understood how many families are living the same race against the same clock, I didn't want it for yours either.
When you choose Parkinson's as your cause, you're standing with Lynn, with me, and with every family who knows what it means to want to hold onto someone's voice before the disease makes that harder.

About this cause
Parkinson's disease affects roughly one million people in the United States, with tens of thousands of new diagnoses each year. There is currently no cure — only treatments that help manage symptoms. Behind every one of those numbers is a family: a spouse learning to help, an adult child noticing the changes, grandchildren who deserve to know who this person was — in their own words, in their own voice.
Where your contribution goes
We're formalizing our charitable giving relationships now, and we'll name our partner organization(s) focused on Parkinson's research, patient care, and family support right here the moment those agreements are in place. We'd rather be slower and accurate than fast and overstated — especially about where your money goes.
